Stories and Testimonials

(Of course, you never have a camera when you need one ....... )

"It's a band you just can't sit down to."  Linda Williams, Brighton

Like when a pantomime horse came and insisted in joining all the dances

Thank you so much for a splendid evening of music, dance and entertainment! Compliments have poured in, and several ladies are amazed that their non-dancing husbands joined in with such gusto!

"Being unreeled is good therapy"  Michelle, Chiltington

"Your music added so much to the party.
So many of our guests said how much they enjoyed the dancing and 'aren't the band terrific!'.
In fact many people said they never usually get onto a dance floor but were enticed by the music and obvious fun that everyone was having.
It was a lovely idea of yours to come out and play acoustically whilst people were eating."
Susan and Malcolm Brenton

We got up to London once and discovered we’d forgotten the mixer.

"I  would like to thank you and the rest of the band for the most wonderful evening.  You are such fine musicians and I loved all the music that you played.  Did you hear how everyone gave a sad sigh when you announced you were playing your last song?  No one wanted the evening to end.  This was by far the best birthday I have ever had and I have spent all day thinking about the dances and hearing the music in my head."
Vicki, Ditchling

We did a dance in Lille for a three way twinning with translations into French and German.
The French for “anti-clockwise” takes longer to say than to dance!

"The French had no idea dancing could turn out to be so funny, we enjoyed it so much - we can't wait to have you back."
Marie-Christine, Bondues, Lille, France.

We prefer to be paid cash.
The only cheque we’ve ever had that bounced was from an evangelical church gig.

" ....  thank all the band for a spectacularly great evening on Saturday.
EVERYONE I've spoken to said what a wonderful time they'd had.
It was an excellent way to get people mixing, enjoying themselves, getting it wrong then getting it right (just as it came to the end!).
I really hope we will do this every year."
Amanda, Barnes

As James says, “This is what passed for fun in the old days!”.
Especially when he announced a fortieth birthday bash as a fiftieth.
